Ideas for redesign of the permanent Africa exhibition in the Historical and Ethnology Museum St. Gallen

For this project icons were designed of artifacts from over 60 ethnic groups currently existing in the museum, those icons could then be used in signs, maps and catalogues. Additionally, two scenic representations of important exhibits in the museum showing historical daily use were illustrated. Thoughts about the exhibition design were produced in a pattern book with suggestions and ideas for using the illustrations. Furthered research on African art and the ability to creatively implement ideas for restructuring the exhibition completed the internship.
