Bachelor thesis «Hybrid Sculptures – Crossbreeding African Art»

The illustrated sculptures are prototypes of various African ethnic groups that do not exist in this form. However, real existing figures were studied and the compacted features of the drawn prototypes are common to all the figures for each ethnic group. In the illustrations with colored pencil particular emphasis was placed on expression, materiality and light reflection. Overall, 7 prototypes were made – thus creating a small catalog of the characteristics and peculiarities of African art.
